The SGA+ Fall Ryder Cup Training Program is back! We know it is a Presidents Cup year, but the Ryder Cup is still king. If you are not familiar with the Ryder Cup, it is a three day Competition between the best players from the United States and Europe consisting of 28 total matches, each of which is worth one point. There are no extra holes in Ryder Cup matches. Should the two sides be tied after 18 holes, each side earns a half point. In order to win the Ryder Cup outright, a team must collect 14 ½ of the 28 points available. In the case of a 14-14 tie, the winning team from the previous Ryder Cup retains the trophy.
SGA+ Players will train 90 Minutes each week and play in 4 Ryder Cup Matches (SUNDAY'S) introducing players to each Ryder Cup format of play (Four-Ball / Foursomes-Alternate Shot / Singles Matches). Once registration has closed and roster are full, Coach Guion will be picking USA & European teams. In order to participate the SGA+ Program, players must have participated in at least 2 previous SGA Jr. Programs or be approved by Coach Guion before registration. If you would like to apply and have not yet participated in an SGA+ Program, please apply by emailing Coach Guion at matt@smartgolfaca.com. As our most popular program selling out the last 2 years in a row, spots will be limited. Once all spots have been filled, a waiting list will be created incase of last minute wd. Scores will be posted each week on the SGA+ Webpage so players can monitor their match play stats and team standings. We look forward to seeing you all this fall as our last program before the Off-Season/Indoor training begins!
