
SMART GOLF ACADEMY
(ROOKIES) Grades 1-3
*We teach respect, honesty, integrity, and responsibility
*From Green to Tee
*Putting & Chipping are big focal points for this age
*Learning how a ball gets in the air for all clubs
*Grip, Stance, Ball Position for certain clubs (putter, sw, driver)
*Games are played to enhance enjoyment/learning
*Introduction to Play (2v2 scrambles April-Sept.)
*Group practices to develop friendship, teamwork, learning
*One private lesson/month is recommended but not vital
*Playing other sports throughout year is highly encouraged
*More advanced players at this age can be introduced to playing their own ball
*Tee markers for play are set at appropriate yardages for learning (Tee it forward)
*Ladies go first whenever possible
*Clubs need to fit each junior (U.S. KIDS ARE ONLY CLUBS FOR THIS AGE)

(JUNIORS) Grades 4 & 5
*We teach respect, honesty, integrity, and responsibility

*More detailed focus for this age
*Grip, Stance, Ball Position for all clubs
*Putting & Chipping skills become more developed to help scoring
*Begin to gain an understanding for why the ball does what it does (although every child develops at different rates)
*Solid ball contact first and foremost
*Station work & drill work to enhance fundamentals
*Learning how to play the game with on course playing programs April-Sept.
*Small group work for competitive practice
*Learning how to train
*Private lessons are included as each individual may have different needs
*Clubs need to fit each junior
Programs associated with this age group: PGA Jr. League (Spring/Summer/Fall), Juniors Winter Development Private Lessons, Summer Camps
(ELITE) Grades 6, 7, & 8
(ELITE EXCEL) High School
(ELITE+) Ages 13-18
*More intensive program
*These juniors wish to play college and varsity high school level golf and compete in tournaments in Spring/Summer/Fall
*Understanding Ball Flight Laws
*More intensive Development of Short Game Skills/Shot Making
*Loves their wedge and putter
